Helping students build communities during the pandemic
Helping students build communities during the pandemic
Summary
Summary
During the COVID-19 pandemic, I participated in the SF Hacks 2021 virtual hackathon as a UX designer. Our team consisted of 2 UX Designers and 2 Software Developers, and we were provided 48 hours to design and develop a mobile app called Beam.
The goal with our app was to help students stay connected to their peers and build interpersonal relationships, affected by the ongoing quarantine. Our efforts led to Beam winning awards for Best Mobile Hack and Best Use of Google Cloud Platform.
